Maria Komarova
Maryia Kamarova (Maria Komarova) is an interdisciplinary artist whose practice is situated on the borders of performing arts, scenography, sound and installation art. She is interested in creating spatial settings that foster a sense of curiosity and attention toward everydayness. By staging and repurposing commonplace objects and technology, Kamarova’s works emphasize creative capacities of the non-human world. Maria was in Sonoscopia between August and October 2024, working with Pierre Pierre Pierre - 50hz.club/pierrepierrepierre - as a duo they performed in Sonoscopia and created "Wiredness Studio", a new project who produce mockumentary soundtracks in real-time, featuring minimal effects with exaggerated affords. Maria also collaborated with Sonoscopia's Project "Sononautas", a community creation for adult children and adults who vehemently refuse to grow up, presented in Fábrica das Artes, CCB, Lisbon.
