Z´EV was a pioneer and a central figure in the international experimental music scene. He was one of the biggest references for Sonoscopia and for many local artists. The invitation made to the artist within the scope of the INresidence program thus became particularly relevant in the context of the association's artistic development, given that work processes, methods, techniques and creative processes were shared in an intimate and continuous way. Z'EV was in residence at Sonoscopia during the months of November and December 2017, at a time when his health was very fragile. During this period, the intensity of his work and of his life, even in silence, permeated the whole house. Z'EV would die in Chicago three days after his stay in Porto. He left us his last public recording and performance, in collaboration with some of the musicians from Sonoscopia.
